Lori Lightfoot has a new job.

Lightfoot is teaching a course at Harvard this fall.

She will be teaching a class tentatively titled “Health Policy and Leadership.”

This comes less than a month after she left office after losing re-election.

New York Post reported:

Former Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot is taking on a new role in education, less than a month after she left office.

Beginning this fall, Lightfoot will teach a course at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health tentatively titled “Health Policy and Leadership,” according to an announcement from the school.

Lightfoot, who left office on May 15 after losing re-election, will serve as the Richard L. and Ronay A. Menschel Senior Leadership Fellow at the school beginning at the end of August.

The Menschel program, according to the school, “offers a rare opportunity for those who have recently served in top-level positions in government, multilateral institutions, nonprofit organizations and journalism to spend time at the school mentoring and teaching students who aspire to similar roles. Lightfoot will hold regular office hours to meet with students, faculty and staff during her time on campus.”

She celebrated the news on Twitter saying, “I’ve always loved teaching, and the opportunity to get back to it is something I am excited about. Looking forward to sharing the experiences and perceptions I learned governing through one of the most challenging times in American history with the @HarvardChanSPH community!”

Lightfoot was a disaster as Mayor.

Breitbart reported:

For instance, on the tail of months of lockdowns and useless remote learning classes, 55 of Chicago’s public schools did not have even one student proficient in math and reading.

Coronavirus policy aside, Lightfoot’s efforts to otherwise assure the health and safety of her citizens also fell disastrously flat. Chicago took place as one of the nation’s most dangerous cities during her tenure and recorded record-high murder and crime rates. Her horrible record on crime was widely credited as one of the reasons she lost her re-election bid. As the AP noted, Chicago recorded “a 25-year high of 797 homicides in 2021.” Further, as she prepared to leave office, crime was up 97 percent over her first year and 61 percent over 2022.

Finally, despite Lightfoot’s long list of strict COVID restrictions on her own citizens, this year she turned around and welcomed thousands of illegal border crossers with open arms — despite many of them having diseases and ailments including COVID, the flu, and pink eye — and despite their complete lack of any health records or vaccinations.
