Elon Musk threatened to sue Democrat Rep Ko Khanna over recent comments Khanna made on a podcast.

Khanna said, “There needs to be accountability for Elon Musk. You know, they’re celebrating that he created 4,400 millionaires, but they don’t talk about the 4.5 million children around the world who he possibly sentenced to death by dismantling USAID.”

Khanna also called for Musk “to be subpoenaed” and that he “needs to face investigation.”

Musk responded by saying it is “Time to sue this liar.”

Fox News reported:

SpaceX and Tesla CEO Elon Musk announced Monday that it may be “time to sue” Rep. Ro Khanna, D-Calif., after the California representative’s latest comments against the new trillionaire.

The announcement came after Khanna called on the Democratic Party to hold Musk accountable if they regained control over the House of Representatives or the Senate on the “I’ve Had It” podcast Saturday.

“I do believe once we take power, there needs to be accountability,” Khanna said. “There needs to be accountability for Elon Musk. You know, they’re celebrating that he created 4,400 millionaires, but they don’t talk about the 4.5 million children around the world who he possibly sentenced to death by dismantling USAID.”

Khanna continued, “He needs to answer for that. He needs to be subpoenaed. He needs to face investigation. He needs to answer for what he did with DOGE [Department of Government Efficiency]. It’s not just ‘let’s move on.'”

Ro Khanna challenged Elon Musk to a debate over DOGE.

CNBC reported:

Potential 2028 presidential hopeful Rep. Ro Khanna challenged newly minted trillionaire Elon Musk to a televised debate on the impact of cuts made during Musk’s time atop the Department of Government Efficiency initiative, following an ugly social media spat between the Silicon Valley congressman and tech titan.

“I challenge him to a debate … do it on CNN, do it on CNBC, do it at a university, he can pick the setting and let’s debate what happened at DOGE, let’s debate why I’m for a wealth tax,” Khanna said Monday in an interview with CNBC. “We can have a conversation of ideas if he believes in free speech and free expression about these issues.”
